Multidisciplinary free-form optimization of solid structures for mean compliance minimization and time-dependent temperature control

A parameter-free free-form optimization method to solve multidisciplinary shape problems of solid structures is presented in this paper. The design objective both minimize the mean compliance linear elastic and control temperature at arbitrary locations time periods for loadings under volume constraint, simultaneously. problem formulated as a distributed-parameter based on variational method, global function defined using an original normalized weighted sum method. gradient density functions with respect variation are derived material derivative adjoint variable methods. theoretically applied H1 space, obtain optimal while maintaining smoothness shape. Numerical examples considered demonstrate validity effectiveness developed
